   Research Notes:

Some researchers incorrectly show this Alice married to Thomas Moyle. Alice Moyle (née Rodda) died in 1837, aged 67 years, meaning she was born a good decade before Alice daughter of John Rodda & Alice Date.

In 1841, Alice Oatey (55) and husband William Oatey (70), copper miner, were living in Gwinear Downs, Gwinear. Present were children: Alice (25), Honor (25), Martha (25), Catherine (20), John (15)

In 1851, Alice Oatey (70) of Crowan, widow, housekeeper, was living in Gwinear Downs, Gwinear. Present were daughters Alice Oatey (36) of Gwinear, employed on dressing copper, Cathrine Reed (32) of Gwinear, widow, grandson Thomas Reed (5) of Crowan.

In 1861, Alice Oatey (81) of Crowan, tin & copper miner's widow, was living in Trenearth, Gwinear. Present were daughters Alice Oatey (46) of Gwinear, employed on tin dressing, Catherine Reed (42) of Gwinear, widow, housekeeper, grandson Thomas Reed (15) of Crowan, employed on tin dressing.

Alice Oatey of Wheal Hope Gwinear died aged 84 years (burial record).

Alice married William OATEY of Gwinear Downs on 3 Feb 1800 in Crowan, Cornwall. (William OATEY of Gwinear Downs was christened on 22 Feb 1767 in St. Erth, Cornwall and was buried on 27 Dec 1842 in Gwinear, Cornwall.)
