" Death Of Mr. L. G. W. Caust

Mr. L. G. W. Caust, former Assistant Superintendent of Primary Schools, died at his home in Watson avenue, Toorak Gardens, last week. Mr. Caust, who was born in 1889, entered the service of the Education Department as a probationary teacher at Uraidla. He attended the Teachers' College from 1910 to 1911, and played A grade cricket for Adelaide University. Later he held assistant masterships at Lefevre Peninsula High School, Port Pirie High School and Norwood High School, where he became a senior master and later deputy headmaster. In 1930 he was appointed an inspector of schools, and in 1949 became Assistant Superintendent of Primary Schools. He retired last January. Mr. Caust is survived by a widow, two sons and two daughters." 6
