In 1881 George Prout (39) of Gwinear, farmer of 50 acres, and wife Mary J. (35) of Crowan were living in Chycarne, Germoe, Cornwall. Present were children: Elizabeth J. L. (17) of Gwinear, and born in St. Germoe: Richard G. (8), schollar, Thomas J. (7), schollar, William F. (6), schollar, Peter H. (4), schollar, James L. (2), Ernest H. (1).

In 1891 George Prout (49) of Gwinear, farmer, widower, was living in Chycarne, Germoe. With him were children: Elizabeth J. L. (21), Richard G. (18), tin miner, Thomas J. (17), William F. (15), Peter H. (14), James L. (12), scholar, Ernest H. (11), scholar, Mary A. (9), scholar, Philippa C. (7), scholar, Cydney D. (4).
