His parentage is confirmed by a donation dated 1215 made by his son "Guillelmus de Rupibus Senescallus Andegavensis" to the abbey of Perseigne of property which had belonged to "Herberti de Rupibus patris Balduini de Rupibus patris sui".

The obituary of Marmoutier records the death 7 Feb of "Balduini Rupium Corbonis domini".
