Inspeximus and confirmation of a charter, whereby William Martin gave to Lady Eleanor de Mohun the manors of Kyngeston, Combe Martyn, Langacre, Moleton, co. Devon, and Ludeford, co. Somerset, to be held by her for life by rendering yearly to him £200 ; and after his death, if she survive, by rendering 1d. yearly to his heirs; with reversion after the death of the said Eleanor to the said William and his heirs ; witnesses. Writ to Master Henry de Bray, escheator, together with Ralph de Sandwyco, to make a more careful extent and assignment of dower to Eleanor late the wife of the said John [de Mohun], the said Ralph having lately assigned her more of the fees of the said John than she ought to have, 2 Jan. 13 Edw. Licence, upon fine made by William Martyn, for him and Eleanor his wife to grant 2 messuages, 2 mills, 2 carucates of land, and 12 marks of rent in Beare and Welrington, held in chief, to John Chartray, for his life, with remainder after his death to their son Henry and the heirs of his body, with remainder failing such issue to the said William Martyn and Eleanor and to the heirs of the said William Martyn. By fine of 5 marks.
