In 1901 Annie Uren, aged 35, born in Wendron Cornwall, married, and children Elsie Uren (6) of Sancreed Cornwall, and James P Uren (2) of Wendron, were with Annie's widowed mother in Trewennack, Wendron.

In 1911 Annie Uren, aged 44, born in Wendron, widow, was living in Ashton Breage. With her were children Elsie (16) and James (12), at school.

In 1921 Annie Uren, aged 55 years 1 month, widow, pensioner, was living in Craskin, Wendron. With her were children (single) Elsie (26y 6m) and James Paul (22y 4m), farm labourer.

In the 1939 Register Annie Uren (b. 19 May 1865), widowed, incapacitated, was in Mental Hospital Bodmin, Cornwall.

Mrs. A. Uren, Wendron

The death occurred after a long illness of Mrs. Annie Uren, aged 76, of Bowling Green Farm, Wendron. Widow of Mr. Joseph Uren who died at Kingsdrop South Africa, in 1903, and who previously carried on business at Trewennack as a smith. The funeral took place on Thursday at Wendron Parish Church, Canon G. H. Doble officiating. Mourners were Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Uren (son and daughter-in-law), Messrs. J. N. Eva, Nicholas Dale, H. Tresise, C. Harris, Norman Dale, and J. Thomas (nephews), Mesdames Nicholas and Norman Dale and J. Thomas (nieces), Messrs. T. and J. Evans, Mr. and Mrs. L. Evans, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Vincent, Mrs. R. J. Phillips, Miss K. Matthews, Messrs. W. Richards and J. Treglown (cousins). Mrs. Uren's three sisters, Mesdames W. Moyle, New Zealand, Mrs. E. Eva, Trewennack, and Mrs. J. Jenkin, Hessenford, were unable to attend....

Ann married Joseph Uren, son of James Uren and Mary Ann, on 24 Dec 1889 in Wendron, Cornwall. (Joseph Uren was born in 1865 in St. Just in Penwith, Cornwall, christened 6 Aug 1865 in St. Buryan, Cornwall and died in May 1903 in Military Hospital, South Africa, aged 38 years.)
