In 1851 Thomas Huthnance (67) of Gwinear, widower, farmer of 140 acres employing 12 labourers, was living on Roseworthy Farm in Gwinear, Cornwall. With him were daughters (unmarried, born in Camborne): Mary (41), house keeper, Caroline (30), at home.

Abstract of the Will of Thomas Huthnance of the Parish of Camborne in the County of Cornwall, Yeoman, written 2 Nov 1854, proved 16 Jun 1855. 5
Gives and bequeaths £400 to his friends Thomas Rogers and Henry Rogers both of the borough of Helston, gentleman, upon Trust to lay out and invest the same at interest in or upon Government or real or Leasehold or other securities in England and to pay the interest dividends and annual produce thereof to his daughter Caroline Huthnance during her natural life. And after her decease upon Trust to equally divide the said sum of £400 to his children John Huthnance, Mary the wife of Benjamin Treloar, Ann the wife of Thomas Tyack, Elizabeth the wife of Henry Eva, Jane the wife of Walter Andrew and Susan the wife of William Eustice.
Gives and bequeaths his leasehold messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments and the residue of his personal estate to Richard
Rosewarne of Coswinsawsen in the parish of Camborne, yeoman and his son in law the said Thomas Tyack upon Trust to sell and divide the proceeds equally among his said children.
Appoints the said Richard Rosewarne and Thomas Tyack co-executors of his last will and testament.
