In 1861 John Bellamy (13) of Cainby, ag. lab., was with his uncle George Plaskitt (42) of Irby, farmer of 109 acres in Keelby. Present were others including John's maternal grandfather William Plaskitt (60) of Irby.

In 1881 John Bellamy (54) of Mid Rasen, labourer & cottager, and wife Emma (30) of Grasby, were living on Rasen Rd., Middle Rasen. Present were sons (born in Middle Rasen): Henry (8), scholar, Thomas J. (6), scholar, Charles W. (5)

In 1891 John Bellamy (48) of Middle Rasen, cattle dealer, and wife Emma (41) of Grasby, were living at 1 Linwood Rd., Market Rasen. Present were sons (born in Middle Rasen): John T. (16), cattle dealer's assistant, Charles W. (13), scholar, Arthur F. (7), scholar
