Greetham MOTLEY

   Research Notes:

In 1851 Greetham Motley (26) of Billinghay, ag. labourer, and wife Ellen (26) of Fulletby, were living in Stixwould. Present were children (born in Fulletby): Thomas (2), Ellen (5 months).

In 1861 Greetham Motley (34) of Walkand*, ag. labourer, and wife Ellen (36) of Fulletby, were living at The Moor, Kirkby Bain. Present were children Thomas (12) of Fulletby, scholar, John W. (3) of Kirkby Bain, Ellen (10) of Stixwould, Betsy A. (11 months) of Kirkby Bain.

* i.e. Walcot (next door to Billinghay which in on the Walcot road).

In 1871 Greetham Motley (44) of Walcot, agricultural labourer, and wife Ellen (46) of Fulletby, were living in Kirkby on Bain. Present were children (born in Kirby on Bain): John Woud, 13, groom, Betsy Ann (11), scholar, Fanny (7), scholar, Mary (5), scholar

In 1881 Greetham Motley (54) of Walcot, ag. labourer, and wife Helen (56) of Fulletby, were living on Horncastle Rd., Kirkby on Bain. Present was son John W. (23) of Kirkby Bain, groomer.

In 1891 Greetham Motley (64) of Walcot, agricultural labourer, and wife Ellen (66) of Fulletby, were living on Horncastle Rd., Kirkby on Bain. Present were son John W. (33) of Kirkby on Bain, married, groom & gardener, his wife Ellen A. (35) of Great Staughton Huntingdonshire, their son Fred (5) of Northampton, Huntingdonshire.

In 1901 Greatham Motley (74), widower, was staying with his daughter Ellen Marshall and her husband Henry at Barcroft Street, Cleethorpes.
