In the 1939 Register William M. Shaw (b. 17 Jul 1890), butcher, and wife Lucy Shaw (b. 20 Mar 1885), domestic work, were living in Butcher Shop Station Road,Halton Holgate, Spilsby R.D., Lincolnshire. With them were children: Evelyn C. Shaw (b. 21 Mar 1913), domestic work, Rowland W. Shaw (b. 7 Feb 1922), handyman assisting father, Joseph R. Shaw (b. 9 Feb 1926), at school.

In December 1950 William Marshall Shaw, butcher and farmer, was granted probate of the effects of his late brother George Shaw of East Keal.
