Obituary

"Dr. Percy Glover Cooley, who died on Monday, had practised as a surgeon in Macquarie Street for 25 years. He was a graduate of Sydney University.
Dr. Cooley was honorary surgeon at Royal South Sydney Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women Paddington and was in charge of the Double Bay first-aid post up to the time of his death.
A member of the A.J.C. he was well-known in sporting and yachting circles. He was a keen grower of rare orchids.
One of his sons, Major Geoffrey Cooley, was lost in the hospital ship Centaur. Another son Capper (?) Maxwell Cooley who recently returned after three years service abroad, took part in the defence of Tobruk..." 4
