In 1776 John Richard was a witness to the marriage of his sister Anne Richard to Lewis Morgan of Hendre coed uchaf.

In 1780 John Richard was a witness to the marriage of his sister Ursula Richard to Thomas Roberts of Maer-sylfaer.

Named as a beneficiary in his father's Will (1790)
