Writing his Will in June 1668 John ap Humphrey of Llanbedr made a bequest to his nephew Evan John son of John Evan of Llanbedr.

In 1688 John Evan of Llanbedr together with Humphrey Lloyd of Dolgelley and Griffith Lewis of the same place, paid bond for Administration of the personal effects of Ellis Humphrey ab Evan of Llanbedr. John Evan was granted Administration as the husband of Gwen vch Humphrey, the 'natural & lawful sister' of Ellis Humphrey ab Evan. 3
