Know all Men... that We David Griffiths of Aberserw in the Parish of Llanddwywe uwch in the County of Merioneth Bachelor, John Jones of Sh-----w in the Parish of Trawsfynydd in the said County of Merioneth Shopkeeper, and William Lloyd of Cae---- in the Parish of Trawsfynydd in the County of Merioneth Farmer are held and firmly bound... in the Sum of four hundred Pounds &c...
Appeared personally on the eighteenth day of August 1854 the within bounden David Griffiths and alleged that Jane Griffiths late of Aberserw in the Parish of Llanddwywe uwch in the County of Merioneth, Farmer, died on the 11th day of July 1854 Intestate without making any Will. That he this appearer is the eldest son of the said deceased, wherefore he prays that Administration of all and singular the Goods and Chattels, Rights and Credits of the said deceased be granted to him on giving the usual security.
Let Administration pass as prayed to the said David Griffiths he being first sworn on the Holy Evangelists as the Law directs, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of Two Hundred Pounds.
