Benton.
MILITARY FUNERAL.—The remains of the late Trooper Norman H. Carlyon, of the Northumberland Hussars Imperial Yeomanry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carlyon of Forest Hall, who died at his home on Tuesday at the age of 25 from injuries received whilst in action, were interred in the Benton Cemetery yesterday afternoon, with full military honours. There were a very large number of mourners. The Rev Mark Fletcher, Vicar of Longbenton, officiated. After the committal service were read three volleys were fired over the grave, and the Last Post sounded.

IN MEMORIAM
Carylon (Forest Hall).—Loving memories of our dear father, Richard, died August 19th, 1930. Also brothers, Norman, died January 15th, 1917, Philip, died September 21st, 1919; and our dear mother, Caroline, died March 12th, 1933. The hearts that loved you are hearts that don't forget. Sadly missed by his loving daughter Ursula, son-in-law Matt.
