" MRS. KATHLEEN O'NEILL

A wide circle of friends in the Kurrajong district heard with sincere sorrow the sad news of the passing of Mrs. Kathleen Emma Gent O'Neill, wife of Mr. J. J. O'Neill, of that centre, which took place at Richmond on 1st inst., at the untimely age of 38 years.

A particularly sad feature of the occurrence was that the late Mrs. O'Neill left a newborn infant daughter, and two other young children, Kathleen, aged 3, and Margaret, aged 15 months, and the sympathy of the community is extended to the sorrowing husband and young family in their irreparable loss.

Although only a resident of Kurrajong for the past five years or so, the deceased had earned a wide respect and popularity, interesting her self in the C.W.A. and other local affairs and generally assisting in the welfare of the community when her family duties permitted. She was a daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. T. [sic] Cambage, well-known residents of the Milton district, where she was born. Of a happy, sympathetic disposition, she was a general favourite, and her loss is deeply felt by the whole Kurrajong community.

The large gathering of relatives and friends, and the profusion of floral tributes at the funeral, which took place on 2nd inst, was evidence of the popularity which the deceased had enjoyed. After a service in St. Gregory's, Kurrajong, the remains were laid to rest in the adjoining Catholic cemetery, the Rev. Fr. Parker performing the last rites." ³
