A Robert Green was christened 30 Dec 1795 in Saint Martin, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, son of Robert Green and Mary. However, this may have been the same Robert Green who married Mary Storey 17 Dec 1786 in St. Martin, Birmingham.

Robert arrived in NSW in 1827 on the Mary Hope as part of the 3rd. Regiment, 'The Buffs'. In 1828, he was working as a footman to Gov. Darling which was no doubt how he met Mary.
In 1832, he was licensee to the 'Rose and Crown' in Parramatta. He also received a grant of land at the field of Mars. The grant became known as Rock Farm. The 1841 census shows this farm to be a thriving community. Robert died 26 Dec. 1857 of dropsy. His estate passed to Mary who died 1886 Parramatta. The farm was to be sold and the proceeds divided among the children. 4
