Trained as a wood carver and storekeeper. He had a lovely tenor voice. William drowned 6 May 1898 when the PWS "Maitland" was wrecked in a gale off Barrenjoey. (There is now, 1998, a memorial for the 100th anniversary of the sinking near where it happened.) 5 6

(Matha Bolivia O'Donnell was born on 26 Apr 1864 in Emmaville, New South Wales, Australia 7 and died in 1899 in Emmaville, New South Wales, Australia 8.

  Marriage Notes:

William and Matha were ½ first cousins.
