McKAY—MUSGROVE.
St. Patrick's Church, Church Hill, was the scene of a very pretty wed- ding on October 23 when Rita, third daughter of the late W. N. Musgrove and Mrs. Musgrove, of "Corinya," Narromine, was joined in holy wedlock to Kenneth E. McKay, youngest son of the late John McKay and Mrs. McKay, of the "Overflow," Warren.
Rev. Father Laurent tied the nuptial knot. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Murgha Mack, of Narramine Station, looked charming in a pretty frock of maize-beaded georgette. Her tulle veil was fastened with a wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of yellow roses and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids were: Miss Clair Musgrove (sister of the bride), and Miss Ina McKay (sister of the bridegroom). Miss Musgrove's dress was of beaten silver, and her silver tulle hat was finished with a single pink rose. Miss McKay was gowned in a frock of pale pink georgette, with a hat of the same shade trimmed with silver rose. Messrs. B. McKay and F. Walker acted as best man and groomsman respectively.
After the ceremony a wedding supper was served at the Mary Elizabeth. The guests were received by Mrs. Musgrove (mother of the bride), and Mrs. McKay (mother of the bride- groom). The former wore a gown of black velvet, with a large crinoline hat trimmed with a posy of red roses. Mrs. McKay's frock was of black beaded georgette, and she wore a black lace scarf. Her hat was of black velvet. The happy couple left later for the South Coast. Their future home will be at "Engelara," Belingara, New South Wales. 4 |
