There were two individuals called Thomas Blackford christened in St. Bartholomew Burwash at this time, one on 23 Dec 1783, son of Thomas and Elizabeth. and the other on 5 Sep 1784, son of Henry and Hannah. Whilst the latter is closer to Thomas's age given in the 1851 Census, neither the names Henry nor Hannah appear among Thomas's children or grandchildren.
