James Eastwood of Etchingham died aged 70 years (burial record).

FUNERAL.—The funeral took place on Tuesday of Mr. James Eastwood, who died on Friday, at the age of 70, at Red Rose, Borders-lane. He had lived in Etchingham all his life but had been in failing health for about 14 years and had been confined to his bed for over two years. He worked at Burgham Farm under Mr. Newington for about 45 years, and later at Ketchingham Farm for Mr. E. W. Webb. He leaves a widow, three sons and three daughters. One son was killed in the Great War. A daughter, Elsie, who is in Ireland, was unable to attend the funeral. A short service at the house was followed by the interment ceremony. The Rev. Basil Snell officiated, and the family mourners were: Mrs. J. Eastwood (widow), Mr. W. H. Eastwood, Mr. H. J. Eastwood, and Mr. L. Eastwood (sons), Mrs. F. Harding and Miss E.
