In 1843 Hugh Owen was a witness at the marriage of his brother Robert to Elizabeth Roberts.

In 1851 Hugh Owen (20) of Amlwch, tailor, was with his widowed mother in Methusalem Street Amlwch.

In 1861 Hugh Owen (33) of Amlwch Anglesey, baptist minister, and wife Sarah (35) of East Chinnock Somerset, were living in Crewkerne Somerset. Presents were daughters-in-law [stepdaughters] Sarah C. Edwards (8) of Stepney London, scholar, and Alice G. Edwards (4) of Stepney.

In 1871 Hugh Owen (39) of Amlwch Anglesey, rector, and wife Sarah (40) of East Chinnock, were living in the Rectory, Bradfield, Norfolk. Present were daughters-in-law Sarah C. Edwards (18) of Stepney Middlesex, Alice G. (14) of the same place, daughter Ellen J. Owen (8) of Milford Pembroke
