A John Griffith of Criccieth in county Caernarvon died in 1736. In his Will (written 20 August 1736 and proved 29 September following), he names his two children Evan and Catherine, then minors, as joint executors, administration being granted to Richard Griffiths, Rector of Criccieth, and Foulk Thomas of Llanfrothen, during his children's minority. He also names his wife Rebecca Humphreys. If this is the correct John, then he would have to have married twice. 2
