Rohese DE SALFORD
- Married: Abt 1174
- Died: 1216
“Bertramus de Verdun” founded Croxden abbey, for the souls of “Normanni de Verdune patris mei et Lucelinæ matris meæ et Richardi de Humez qui me nutrivit” and for the salvation of “mea et Roehais uxoris meæ”, by undated charter. The Testa de Nevill includes a writ of King John dated 1212 which records "Nicholaus de Verdon" holding land "in honore Lancastrie extra Limam" in Lancashire which "Roays mater eius" held. 1
Rohese married Sir Bertram DE VERDUN of Alton, Knt., son of Norman DE VERDUN of Farnham Royal & Alton and Lesceline DE CLINTON, about 1174. (Bertram DE VERDUN was born about 1138 in Alton Castle, Cheadle, Staffordshire, England and died on 24 Aug 1192 in Joppa, Palestine while on Crusade.)
