Abstract of the Will of Owen Anwill of Penrhyn in the County of Merioneth Esquire, written 15 Apr 1695, proved 25 May 1695, inventory taken 29 Jan 1696/7.
Gives & devises all his messuages, lands, tenements & hereditaments in the counties of Merioneth, Montgomery & Caernarvon to his mother Catherine Anwill, widow, and his friends John Lloyd of Ab-------, John Vaughan of Glanyllyn & Simon Lloyd of Balla in the county of Merioneth, esquires, in Trust, until his daughters Catherine & Elizabeth Anwill attain the age of twenty-one years.
Names his nephew William Lewis Anwill.
Gives & devises 42 shillings a year to his man-servant Edward Rees, for the term of his natural life.
Gives & bequeaths £10 to his maid-servant Anne Lewis.
Gives & bequeaths to his daughter Elizabeth all his silver plate and household stuff
Appoints his mother, along with Sir John Wynn, Edward Vaughan, John Lloyd, John Vaughan, and Simon Lloyd to be guardians of his daughters Catherine & Elizabeth Anwill.
Nominates & appoints his mother and daughters co-executrices of his last will and testament.
