Abstract of the Will of Elizabeth Jones of Llannerchfawr in the County of Carnarvon, Widow, written 7 Jun 1722, proved 10 Jun 1726. 3

Refers to an Indenture of Release tripartite dated 2 Sep 1720 made between herself Elizabeth Jones of the first part, William Bodvell of Madrin in county Carnarvon Esq. & James Brynkir of Brynkir in the same county Esq. of the second part, the Reverend Robert Wynne of Gresford in county Denbigh, Doctor of Divinity & Chancellor of St. Asaph, & Margaret the wife of Ellis Evans of Islay Bwll in county Merioneth Gent. now deceased, one of the sisters of the said Elizabeth Jones, & Ellin Madrin another sister of the said Elizabeth Jones on the third part, wherein there is a proviso for power reserved for the said Elizabeth Jones to alter, dispose, limit and appoint any part or parcel of the premises in the said Indenture to the value of £20 to any new use(s) or trust(s) thereof, as well as for ratifying certain writing made by the said Elizabeth Jones dated 4 Jun 1723.... As such, she directs that the houses, tenements, gardens & lands with their appurtenances known as High Gate and all other houses, tenements, gardens & lands within the estate of Llannerchfawr now in the possession of her said sister Margaret, shall at the decease of the said Elizabeth Jones come to her said sister Ellin Madrin for the term of her natural life to the value of £20 for her better maintenance and support.

Devises & bequeaths to the said Doctor Robert Wynne all the capital messuage or mansion house & dairy house called Llannerchfawr barn, stable, gardens, orchards, and all parcels of land called y Coed, and all the wood therein situated between Cae yr grug, Cae'r plan, Cae'r lloi y wergledd newydd and Cae Gaynor... in the parish of Llanor in county Carnarvon now in the possession of the said Elizabeth Jones for the terms of the lives of her sisters Margaret & Ellin...

Gives & bequeaths £100 in trust to the said Reverend Doctor Robert Wynne, Lloydd Bodvell of Bodvan in county Carnarvon Esqr, the said William Bodvell, James Brynkir and Timothy Edwards of Cefa myne in county Carnarvon Esqr., such that immediately after the death of the said Elizabeth Jones, the interest of said money be for the sole use and benefit of the six poorest old women residing in the same parish who are either kindred or have been old servants to the present & future heirs of Llannerchfawr, to be paid to the said poorest old women annually on May 1.

Gives & bequeaths 5 guineas each to the said Reverend Doctor Robert Wynne, Lloydd Bodvell, William Bodvell, James Brynkir and Timothy Edwards for their troubles.

Gives & bequeaths £30 to her niece Elizabeth Anwyl of Doleriog in county Merioneth.

Gives & bequeaths £30 to Mrs Gwen Bodvell of Bodfan, and to her brother John Bodvell (Elizabeth's godson) £5 and the best of her horses or mares.

Gives & bequeaths £10 to Hugh? Rowen of Glan rhyd

Gives & bequeaths £30 to her cousin Richard Wynne, 2nd son of the said Doctor Robert Wynne.

Gives & bequeaths £30 to her cousin Diana Wynne, 2nd granddaughter of the said Doctor Robert Wynne.

Gives & bequeaths £10 to her cousin Sarah Williams of Frowi---- in county Flint, widow.

Gives & bequeaths £5 to her aunt Lowry Bodvell of Llangefai in county Anglesey, widow.

Gives & bequeaths £5 to her cousin Ann Jones living near the town of Denbeigh.

Gives & bequeaths to her cousin Robert Wynne of Garthewin in county Denbigh, eldest son of the said Doctor Robert Wynne, her largest silver plate tanker.

Gives & bequeaths to Mrs Anne Bodvell of Bodvan two silver plated porringers? and to her daughter the said Mrs Gwen Bodvell her silver plate salver.

Gives & bequeaths to her niece Elizabeth Anwill of Doleveriog aforesaid one standing bedstead lying in the middle room above the stairs in the house of Rhydynog Felan, one feather bed, curtains, three blankets, two pair of fine hempen sheets, a rug and everything else belonging to the said bed, and her biggest brass pan.

Gives & bequeaths to her cousin Ellin Jones of ---?--- one feather bed standing in the room over the hall in Rhydynog felan, three blankets, 2 pair of sheets, a rug and curtains belonging to the said bed.

Gives & bequeaths to Anne Owen living near Dolgelley, daughter of her late cousin Catherine Anwyl one feather bed, bedstead, curtains, blankets and one pair of sheets belonging to the said bed standing at the back of the house in Rhydynog felan.

Gives & bequeaths to her cousin Humphrey Meredith of Pengwern, Esqr., her second biggest brass pan at Rhydynog felan, and the least of her two silver plate tumblers.

Gives & bequeaths £5 to her cousin Dorothy Anwill of Doleveriog

Gives & bequeaths 2 guineas to her cousin John Jones of ---?---

Gives & bequeaths 2 guineas to her cousin Alice Griffith of Nanlley, widow.

All the rest & residue of her goods, chattels & personal estate she gives & bequeaths to the said Reverend Doctor Wynne and her sister Margaret Evans, constituting them residuary legatees, and appointing them joint Executors of her last will and testament.
