    Abstract of the Will of Humphrey Hughes of Penbryn in the County of Merioneth, Gent., written 4 Jun 1703, proved 20 Jul 1703. 3
    Gives & bequeaths 5 shillings to his daughter Dority Hughes.
    Gives, devises & bequeaths to John Vaughan of Glanyllyn in county Merioneth Esqr. & to Maurice Davies of ------garth in the said county Gent those two pieces of arable and meadow ground called Doly tranan? & Doly Grasgei-----? to have and to hold in trust to the intent & purpose of providing out of the rents, issues & profits of said pieces of land for his younger children William Hughes, Marget Hughes & Ellyzabeth Hughes.
    Gives & bequeaths to his three younger children William, Marget & Ellyzabeth all his personal estate, bills, bonds, household stuff & implements of husbandry.
    All the remainder & residue of his messuages, lands & tenements he gives, devises & bequeaths to his son & heir Ellis Hughes & his heirs.
    Nominates & appoints his son William Hughes to be sole Executor of his last will and testament.
    Appoints John Vaughan Esqr. & Maurice Davies Gent. as overseers of his last will and testament during the minority of the Executor.
