Abstract of the Will of William Wynne of Llwyn Griffrey in County Merioneth, written 10 Jan 1668/9, inventory taken 15 Jan 1668/9, proved 28 Jan 1668/9.
Item. Gives & bequeaths those three tenements in Llanaber known by the names of Bodwilim, Gwa----- Annas and Y varch Ynys to his wife.and toward the bringing up of their children. As for the rest of his messuages and lands in Llanaber and Llanddwywey known as Llwyn griffrey, eithyer fynydd, Tythyn y velin, the moiety of a mill and the house in Talbont he gives to his wife and toward the payment of his debts.
Item. Leaves & bequeaths all his household stuff and personal estate toward the payment of £50 with interest to the use of the poor of Aberdaron and £50 with interest to his cousin Robert Owen of Anglesey, both which sums were debts due to him.
Wills that his son Maurice shall have the rent of his lands & tenements in Llanddwywey and Llanaber, not ----?---- [document fragmented] or bequeathed to his wife in lieu of ----?---- two years ---?--- May next after the full payments of my debts.
And after the determination of the said two years he bequeaths the like term to his son Robert.
And after the determination of the said two years he leaves & bequeaths the rents and profits of the same lands for four years to his daughter Elizabeth.
And if Maurice, Robert or Elizabeth should die before the reach the age of twenty-one, the he bequeaths the said legacies between his surviving younger children.
And as to the ---?--- of all his real estate in Llanaber and Llanddwywey and elsewhere in Merioneth, he leaves & devises the same to his eldest son William and his heirs, and in default to his son Morris and his heirs, and in default to his son Robert and his heirs, and in default to his daughter Elizabeth and her heirs, and in default to his brothers Robert Wynne and Maurice Wynne...
Item. Nominates and appoints his wife Margaret to be sole Executrix of his last will and testament.
Desires that his brothers Robert Wynne and Maurice Wynne, and his cousin William Vaughan of Caethle, to be overseers of his last will and testament.
