Ellis married Laurella (Lowry) Edward, daughter of Edward Jones of Maes-y-garnedd and Elizabeth ferch Evan ap Humphrey, on 4 Jan 1639/40 in Llanbedr, Merioneth, Wales. (Lowry Edward was born in Maes y Garnedd, Llanbedr, Merioneth, Wales and was buried on 12 Aug 1694 in Llanbedr, Merioneth, Wales.)
