Abstract of the Will of Evan Jenkin of Ty Mawr in the Parish of Towyn, written 7 Aug 1778, proved 13 Jun 1780. 3
Refers to an indenture of lease dated 1 Mar 1750 made between William Lewis Anwyl of Bodialog Merioneth, Esquire on the one part, now deceased, and himself Evan Jenkin on the other part, wherein William Lewis Anwyl demised and granted to Evan Jenkin and his heirs—Griffith Evans & Lewis Evans his sons—several messuages, tenements and lands with the appurtenances commonly called Ty Mawr and Tyddyn y Cnwllyn in Towyn, from 1 May 1750.
Gives & bequeaths £50 to his grandson Griffith Evans of Pontfathewin in Towyn
Gives & bequeaths £100 to his granddaughter Catherine Evans, eldest daughter of his son Lewis Evans of Ty ynyr Eithin
Gives & bequeaths £100 to his granddaughter Margaret Evans, youngest daughter of his son Lewis Evans of Ty ynyr Eithin.
Gives & bequeaths to his eldest son Lewis Evans of Ty ynyr Eithin his feather bed, the bed clothes belonging to it, the bed pan and all the ready money that shall be in his (Evan's) possession at the time of his decease
Gives & bequeaths £100? to his grandson Griffith Evans, eldest son of his youngest son Griffith Evans late of Ty mawr deceased
Gives & bequeaths £40 to his grandson Lewis Evans, youngest son of the said Griffith Evans late of Ty mawr deceased
Gives & devises to Lowry Griffith of Pontfathew aforesaid an annuity of 20 shillings
Gives & devises to Elizabeth Humphrey of Pen y park in the parish of Towyn, spinster, an annuity of 15 shillings
The rest remainder & residue to gives & bequeaths to his grandson Evan Evans, second son of his said son Griffith Evans late of Ty mawr deceased
Constitutes & appoints his friends John Richards of Glanymorfain in Towyn and and Richard Edwards of Towyn, gentlemen, to be the executors of his last Will and Testament.
