In 1851 Ellinor Owen Griffith (35) of Dolgelley, farmer's daughter, unmarried, was with her widowed mother in Brynrhûg, Dyffrydan, Dolgelley.

In 1861 Ellin G? Jones (44) of Dolgelley and husband William Jones (48) of Llanfachreth, landed proprietor & farmer employing 2 men, were living in Brynrhyg Dolgelley.

In 1871 Ellen Owen Jones (55) of Dolgelley and husband William Jones (62) of Llanfachreth, landowner & farmer of 47 acres, were living in Penmaen house, Dolgelley. Present were visitor Evan Morris, chemist & assistant, servants Anne Price, Jane Jones & John Jones.

In 1891 Ellen Owen Jones (75) of Dolgelley Merionethsh., widow, of independent means, was living in Victoria Buildings, Dolgelley Merioneth. Present were servants Elizabeth Hughes & Mary Davies.
