Abstract of the Will of Hugh Vaughan of Hengwrt, Gent., written 12 Jun 1694, proved 27 Oct 1695. 2

Wishes to be buried beside the body of his beloved wife.

Gives & bequeaths £30 to Andrew Lewis as a reward of his service and affection, also one feather bed made by Thomas Lloyd..., a pair of good blankets and a pair of good sheets with a good bed rug. If Andrew should die without lawful issue, then the legacy shall be equally divided among Hugh's grandchildren...

Item. Gives & bequeaths to his daughter Jennett Vaughan two feather beds together with their appurtenances

Item. Gives & bequeaths £5 to Andrew Lewis.

Item. Gives & bequeaths to Sarah Lewis the like sum of £5.

Item. Gives & bequeaths the rest of his goods, cattle and chattels to his grandchildren Lewis Lewis and Elizabeth Lewis

Nominates constitutes & appoints his grandson Lewis Lewis as sole executor of his last Will and Testament.

Item. Constitutes and appoints his good friend the Worshipful Madame Catharine Anwill, widow, his brother-in-law Edmund Meirick of Caernarvonshire, and his nephew Howell Vaughan of Vanner, as guardians of his grandchildren during their minority.
