At the time of the 1861 England Census William Cuckney, age 65, unmarried, farmer, and his brothers John Cuckney, age 60, unmarried, partner, and Edward Cuckney, age 55, unmarried, partner, were farming in White Ditch Rd., Hailsham Sussex.
In May 1861 John Cuckney of Hailsham, farmer, was co-executor of the Will of his sister Ruth Cuckney of Hailsham, spinster.
