At the time of the 1861 England Census William Cuckney, age 65, born in Hailsham, unmarried, farmer, and his brothers John Cuckney, age 60, unmarried, partner, and Edward Cuckney, age 55, unmarried, partner, were farming in White Ditch Rd., Hailsham Sussex.
At the time of the 1871 England Census William Cuckney, age 75, born in Hailsham, unmarried, rent of farm, was lodging with [his brother-in-law] Thomas Rason, farmer, in Sandbanks, Hailsham Sussex.
