Nicholas may have had a sister Annis [Agnes] who married Robert Bush in Hailsham on 28 Aug 1558.

Sons George and Nicholas were buried in Hailsham on 13 Apr 1558 and 24 May 1564.

In January 1558/9 Nycholas Akarst was a witness to the Will of Thomas Enstey of Hailsham. Around the same time Nycholas Akarst witnessed the Will of William A'Rede of Hailsham, who gave him the use of his lands for seven years, so long as he pay to William's daughter Constance £10 when she reaches the age of 21 years.
