FUNERAL OF DR. R. B. WYBRANTS.—On Wednesday afternoon, the remains of the late Dr. Robert Bath Wybrants, son of the late Dr. Jonathan Wybrants (for many years coroner for Somerset), were interred in the cemetery. Dr. Wybrants came to Wincanton in 1875, and established a practice, and by his skilful treatment and genial manner he soon became very popular. He was shortly afterwards elected medical officer for the Wincanton district of the Union and the Wincanton Court of Foresters "Stavordale Priory," and the Wincanton Friendly Society elected him for their medical officer. All these offices he held until quite recently. For a considerable time he had shown signs of failing health, and after a severe attack of influenza last year, consumption set in, and he died on Friday, October 24th, at the early age of 42 years. The funeral service was read by the Rector (Rev. C. Grant-Dalton), and the organist (Mr. J. W. Hathaway) played a selection of sacred music whilst the funeral <i>cortegé<i> was entering and leaving the church.... The following relatives attended:—Mrs. R. B. Wybrants, Mrs. Wybrants, sen., Miss Wybrants, Mr. and Mrs. Norton, Miss Bath, Mr. E. Bath, Dr. Hart, Mr. J. Hart, Mr. J. W. Cooper, Mr. W. E. Cooper, Mr. G. H. Cooper.... The deceased leaves a widow and one son to mourn their loss.
