On the 24 April 1770 Edward appealed against his removal order from the parish of Yalding to Hunton. The appeal was succesful - meaning that the original order was quashed and removed persons could return to their previous parish. In this case, the parish had to reimburse the receiving parish for any costs of maintaining the persons and bringing the appeal. 3
