In 1861 Elizabeth Newth, aged 51, born in London, married, labourer's wife, was in Rope Yard, Buthay, Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire. With her were children (born in Wootton Bassett): Robert (15), ag lab, John (13), ag lab, Charles (9), scholar, Harriet (6), scholar.

In 1881 Elizabeth Newth, aged 71, born in London, widow, was living in Rope Yard, Buthay, Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire. With her was niece Caroline Arman (13) of Chippenham Wilts, general servant.
