At the time of the 1871 England Census Mary A. Voice, aged 21, born in Portsmouth Hants, and husband Fredk. Voice, aged 25, born in Pimlico Middlesex, ship's corporal R.N., were living at 183 Fratton St., Portsea Hants.

At the time of the 1881 Scotland Census Mary A.
