At the time of the 1861 England Census Ann M. Bendall, aged 17, born in Portsea Hants, stay maker, was with her parents at 16 Durham St., Portsea, Hants.

In September 1862 Miss Ann Maria Bendell was present at the marriage of her sister Lucy Sarah Bendell to Joseph Thomas Stoot in Portsea Hants.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Ann M. Evans, aged 27, born in Portsmouth Hants, and husband Henry Evans, aged 32, born in Deptford Kent, coast guard, were living in Brighton Terrace, Landguard Rd., Shanklin, Isle of Wight, Hants. With them were children: Henry E (6) of Portsmouth, scholar, Mary Ann L (4) of Portsmouth, scholar, and Charles F (7 mo) of Shanklin.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Ann M. Evans, aged 37, born in Portsmouth Hants, and husband Henry Evans, aged 45, born in Deptford Kent, naval pensioner, were living at 30 John St., Portsea Hants. Present were children (born in Portsmouth): Henry E (17), grocer's porter, Mary A (15), machinist stay maker, Charles F (10), scholar, Benjamin A (5), scholar, Edward G (1).

At the time of the 1891 England Census Ann Maria Evans, aged 48, born in Portsmouth Hants, retired staymaker, and husband Henry Evans, aged 55, born in Deptford Kent, yard labourer, were living at 28 James St., St. Paul's Deptford London. With them were children: Benjamin E (15) of Woolston Hants, yard messenger, Edward George (11) of Portsmouth, scholar, and two boarders.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Ann M Evans, aged 58, born in Portsmouth Hants, retired staymaker, and husband Henry Evans, aged 60, born in Deptford Kent, navy pensioner, were living at 135 Childers St., Deptford St. Paul London. With them was son Edward G (22) of Portsmouth, clerk Royal Victoria Yard.
