In 1871 Mary Tuck (20) of Cliffe Pypard, dress maker, was with her parents in Broadtown, Clyffe Pypard.

In 1891 Mary Smith (41) of Cliffe Pypard and husband John Smith (58) of Cliffe Pypard, ag labourer, were living in Broad Town. Present were children (born in Cliffe Pypard): Elizabeth (10), scholar, Ellen (6), scholar, and John Frederick (6 months) of Broad Town.

In 1901 Mary Smith (51) of Broad Town, dressmaker, and husband John Smith (68) of Clyffe Pypard, agricultural labourer, were living in Marlborough Rd, Broad Town. With them were son John Frederick (10), and granddaughter Alice Maud Garland (2) of Broadtown.
