AGED RESIDENT OF STOCKBRIDGE
Mr. Harry Horne, who passed away a few days before his 81st birthday, was born at Nether Wallop. He was employed as a stable hand at the racing establishments under the direction of the late Tom Cannon at Chattis Hill and Danebury; later, at Houghton Down, as a groom, and for the past nine years as a gardener by Mr. H. Stratton, of Bridge House, Stockbridge.
The funeral service, at St. Peter's Church, on Saturday, was conducted by the Rev. E. W. Morley. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Joyce (niece and nephew), Mrs. and Miss Stratton, Mr. and Mrs. Herdsfield, Mrs. Snelgrove, Miss H. Clarke, Mrs. King, Mrs. Willis, Mr. and Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Kail, and Mrs. Chalke.
