In 1861 Jane Whitebread, aged 23, born in Savernake, and husband John Whitebread, aged 22, born in Savernake, ag lab, were living in St. Mary Wilts. Present was daughter Emily A. (11 mo) of St. Margarets Wilts.

In 1871 Jane Whitebread, aged 33, born in Savernake, woman's servant, wife of a road labourer, was working in Union House, Preshute Wilts.

In 1881 Jane Whitbread, aged 43, born in Lye Hill Marlboro'* and husband John Whitbread, aged 32, born in High Trees Marlborough, farm labourer, were living Old Shaw West Overton Wilts. Present were children: Emily Ann (22) of Marlboro', assists, Sarah Ann (19) of Marlboro', assists, George (14) of Ogbourne St. Andrews, plough boy, Charles John (12) of Ogbourne St. Andrews, plough boy, John Henry (3) of Wootton Rivers, Elizabeth (5) of Huish Hill, Hubert (1) of Clench Common.

MARLBOROUGH COUNTY PETTY SESSIONS, Saturday

Jane Whitbread, wife of John Whitbread, labourer, of Huish Hill, and Elizabeth Whitbread, her daughter, were summoned by Mr. Edward Hedley Pye, of Rainscombe Park Farm, for stealing growing turnip greens, value 1s., from a field in his occupation at Overton Heath, on April 11th. Mr. Pye proved the case, and the Bench fined defendants 7s. 6d. each, including costs.
