In 1861 John Beckingham, aged 28, born in Burbage, ag. lab, and wife Mary, aged 20, born in Mildenhall, were living in Wootton Rivers Wilts. Present was daughter Elizabeth (6 mo) of South Savernake.

In 1871 John Beckingham, aged 38, born in South Savernake, ag labourer, and wife Mary, aged 30, born in Mildenhall, were living in Cuckoo's Knob Wootton Rivers Wilts. Present were children: Elizabeth (10) of South Savernake, scholar, and born in Wootton Rivers: Sarah (8), scholar, Matilda (7), scholar, Esther (6), scholar, William (2). John's brother David and his family were also living in Cuckoo's Knob.

In 1881 John Beckingham, aged 48, born in Burbage, agricultural laborer, and wife Mary, aged 40, born in Mildenhall, were living in 15th House (East) Wootton Rivers Wilts.
