5 Probate records of the Archdeaconry of Wiltshire, P3/1837/30ii. Per 1841 census, Thomas's reputed daughter, Amelia Piper, was born about 1781 and was living in Pewsey Wilts. In that year Amelia Piper of Pewsey, spinster, gave testimony regarding Patience Piper (Pipper), spinster, of Collingbourne Kingston, declaring that she knew and was well acquainted with her. Patience Pipper* wrote a Will dated 21 May 1833, in which she left her personal effects to her daughter Ester Lewenton (née Pipper). Amelia confirmed that the handwriting of the Will belonged to the said Patience.

* Patience was the daughter of William Piper, a shepherd, and was christened in Collingbourne Ducis on 2 Jul 1782. As such, Patience and Amelia were of the same generation. It is possible that Amelia's mother was a sister of William, which would make Amelia and Patience cousins. However, as the above documentation does not indicate what the relationship between Amelia Piper and Patience Piper was, one can only speculate.

Hester, the base-born daughter of Patience Piper, was christened in Collingbourne Kingston on 16 Oct 1808.
