In the name of god amen In the yere of our Lorde god 1544 and in the vith daie of Maye I Margaret Pulley Wyddow Being Whole of mynde and in good memory doe make this my testament in manner and fourme following That is to saie
First I bequeath my soule to allmightie god And to our Lady sainte Mary And to all the holy company of heaven my Body to be Buried within the Chancell of the parrish of Purton
Item I give to the said parrish churche twenty shillings

Item I bequeath to every housholder Within the parrish of Purton that hath no plough going xijd. a pece

Item I bequeathe to my daughter Christian Harmer my beste gowne and more a golde ringe
Item I bequeath to Jane Becke my daughter my second gown and a golde ringe and more my russett Frocke
Item I bequeath to Anne Pulley twenty poundes and my best chamlet Frock and my Blacke chamber Frocke and my best Bonnet and my Patten Kirtle and a golde ringe and a --?-- and a pann and a fether bed and a bolster a paier of shetes a paier of blanketts and a coverlet and a great brooche to be delivered to her at the daie of her marriage
Item I bequeath to Jane Jaye my beste bedes and a goblet of silver and sault of silver and my best fetherbed and all that belong to hit and six poundes thirtene shillings and fower pence And also I give and bequeath unto her after her Fathers and mothers decease my house in lechlate to her and to the heirs of her body lawfully begotten for ever

The residue of all my goodes and Cattells and debtes moveable and unmoveable not bequethed I give and bequeath to Bennet Jaye and Elizabeth his wief my Daughter The which Bennet and Elizabeth I ordeine and make my executors And Thomas Harmer and John Becke my overseers and for there paynes and laboures I give to every of them twenty shillings a pece
