Ann Ogbourn was of the family of the same name residing in Wootton Bassett which lies about 13 miles north-east of Marlborough where she was married (Great Bedwyn, whence Thomas Davis came, lies about 7 miles south-west of the same). During the 1740s and 1750s there were born two individuals named Ann Ogbourne: one in 1742, the other in 1744, daughters of brothers William and Timothy. Ann is shown here as daughter of Timothy Ogbourn and his wife Mary Stevens, noting Ann's eldest child was named Stephen.
