Ann Ogbourn was of the family of the same name residing in Wootton Bassett which lies about 13 miles north-east of Marlborough where she was married (Great Bedwyn, whence Thomas Davis came, lies about 7 miles south-west of the same). During the 1740s and 1750s there were born two individuals named Ann Ogbourne: one in 1742, the other in 1744, daughters of brothers William and Timothy. Ann is shown here as daughter of Timothy Ogbourn and his wife Mary Stevens, noting Ann's eldest child was named Stephen.
Ann married Thomas DAVIS, son of Daniel DAVIS and Maria GALE, on 22 Nov 1774 in Marlborough St. Peter, Wiltshire, England 2. (Thomas DAVIS was christened on 22 May 1745 in Collingbourne Ducis, Wiltshire, England and was buried on 12 Mar 1791 in Collingbourne Ducis, Wiltshire, England.)
Banns of marriage between Thomas Davis of the Parish of Great Bedwin & Anne Ogbourn of this Parish were published in this Church on Oct: 30, Nov: 6 & 13 being Sundays by me, Thos. Meyler, Rector.
