Clarice Marie TETENS

"Clarice Marie Klingeman, 84, of Austin, Texas, passed away on January 21, 2015, after a long, hard-fought battle with both Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia (LBD). Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 25, 2015, at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

Clarice was born in Buda, Texas, to the late Hans and Irene Tetens. She was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church and confirmed at St. Martin's Lutheran Church. She graduated from Buda High School and attended Texas Lutheran University and Texas State University. She married Morris Klingeman in 1950, also at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, and they were members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas. Clarice spent many years volunteering at the community, Synod, and national levels for the Lutheran Church, including as President for the ALC Women Southwest Synod. She also loved gardening and working outdoors around her home.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Morris Klingeman.

Survivors include her children, Donna Stoker and her husband Paul; Melissa Ingram and her husband Danny; Jason Klingeman; sisters, Elaine Walther; Carolyn Stewart and husband Carroll; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews." ¹
