"In memory of the Revd. William Borlase, A. M., 36 years vicar of this parish; the duties of which station he performed with unremitting assiduity and attention. He was the last surviving son of the Revd. Walter Borlase LL.D., formerly of Castle Horneck in this parish, and departed this life on the 15th of November, 1812; aged 71 years.
His only Daughter consecrates this tablet to the remembrance of her affectionate parent." 2
