Abstract of the Will of Elizabeth Borlase of the Town of Penzance in the County of Cornwall, Spinster, written 27 Aug 1804, proved 30 Apr 1806. 2

Gives to her sister Caroline Borlase her reversionary right and interest in the tenement of Chycarn in the parish of St. Just in Penwith in co. Cornwall.

Gives to her niece Margaret Tremenheere her right in the tenement of Calartha in the parish of St. Just.

Gives the house she lives in to her sister Mary Usticke for life, along with the premises in the town of Penzance, and the use of her furniture, plate, linen and china. After the death of her sister Mary she gives the same to her sister Caroline Borlase for life. And after their deaths, she gives the same to her nephew John Tremenheere and his heirs.

Directs her executor to pay the interest due on her share of a mortgage from Samuel Borlase, Esquire, to Sir James Mansfield, in trust for the younger children of the late Walter Borlase, L.L.D. as follows: — an annuity of £12 to her sister Caroline Borlase until the tenement of Chycarn settles on her, and the remainder to her sister Mary Usticke. If Caroline outlives Mary, then the said annuity will go to the testator's sister, Catherine Tremenheere.

Gives to Anthony Williams of Trenear in the parish of Madron, Clerk, and Richard Oxnam of Rose Hill in the same parish, Esquire, £300 stock in the three-per-cent consolidated fund, in trust, to pay the same to her niece Margaret the wife of Richard Hichens, Esquire. If Margaret should die within the lifetime of her husband, then the stocks are to be sold and the proceeds to be equally divided between the daughters of the said Margaret Hichens.

Gives to Capt. Cuthbert Baines, her niece Frances Cooper wife of Richd. Cooper, and Frances Pogson wife of Edwd. Pogson of Carwithinicke Esq: £100 stock in the three-per-cent consolidated fund. Thereafter she directs her executor to sell the remainder of her stock in the said fund and divide the money between her sister Catherine Tremenheere and Catherine's children William Tremenheere, Walter Tremenheere, Henry Pendarves Tremenheere, Catherine wife of William Hill, Esquire, Margaret Tremenheere and Mary Tremenheere.

Gives a handsome piece of plate worth 40 guineas to Sir James Mansfield, Baronet, for all his help in the family affairs.

Gives to Grace Carn 5 guineas, over and above her wages.

Gives 5 guineas each to her brother William Borlase and his daughter Anne Borlase.

All the rest of her lands, tenements, goods & chattels, she gives to her brother George Borlase, appointing him sole executor of her last will and testament.
